Jai Jagannath
It is with a sense of accomplishment that I share with you the journey of SADGURU HOSPITAL. It was in 1991 a doctor couple had left their lucrative government services with a vision to provide holistic health care to those who needed it the most. And thus the “Jagatpur Nursing Home” was born..
Over the years it provided affordable health care to the most under privileged sections of the society. Sensing the ever-increasing gap in health care demand and the services available, the Jagatpur Nursing Home metamorphosed into Sadguru hospital on Nov 23rd, 2010. As a multi- specialty hospital, it brought together a multitude of services viz. diagnostic investigations, laboratory services, in patient care as well as critical care and dialysis under one roof. Which subsequently expanded to include super-specialty services like open heart surgeries, trauma care, as well.
Amidst all this development our core ideas of accessibility, affordability and equity were never compromised. As we strived to fulfill our vision to provide holistic health care under one roof, we continue to remain stringent regarding the quality of the service we provide.
Resilience in Adversity:
Our Commitment to Public Health During the COVID-19 Pandemic
Even as the world came to a standstill during the COVID-19 pandemic, our unwavering resolve toward public health welfare remained steadfast. In the face of adversity, we embraced adaptability as a core value. The hospital transformed into a designated COVID facility, ensuring uninterrupted services, equipped with personnel, advanced infrastructure, and essential resources—proving to be a vital force in combating an unprecedented challenge.
It is during this time we saw the magnitude of impact of Cancer from close quarters. It had a way of affecting people from within. With a high burden of patients and their numbers increasing every day and our health system reeling from the battle with COVID, quality cancer care was a steep public health challenge. And when WHO gave the call for “close the care gap” as the theme for the world cancer day 2022-24 we saw our chance to contribute to this fight against the emperor of all maladies.
With its cancer wing, the hospital aims to reach a subset of the Populus who have been left to fend for themselves. Now with all the modalities of cancer diagnosis and treatment available under oneroof we look to extend our vision of “holistic health care” to cancer patients as well. As we find our footing in this battle, we aspire to be the answer to the cancer problem in a most humble way possible. Due to which the Cancer unit established in our campus with ultra modern Radio Therapy machineries on 23.04.2023, With humble submission to Almighty and in the reverberant words of Robert frost:
“The woods are lovely dark and deep, but I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep, and miles to go before I sleep.”
